Asian-Pacific Rim Economics, Tourism and Political Studies
Why Study in Bangkok
The summer Bangkok program is ideal for students who are interested in studying the politics, economics, business, philosophy, religion, language and cultures of Thailand as well as those of other Southeast Asian countries. In addition to these specialized areas, you can take general courses that can be used to fulfill degree requirements at your home university. You may choose to study for a summer, semester, or a year, which includes the summer program. The International College of Rangsit University administers the program of study for USAC students.
You may take courses from the International College’s departments of International Business, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Information Technology and Communication Arts. These courses are all taught in English. The program integrates these disciplines in order to respond to the ever-changing issues and events surrounding Thailand and Southeast Asia.
The Bangkok program is managed by Dr. Gessanee S. Maneerutt, the Rangsit University International College Coordinator responsible for the overall operations of the program abroad: securing appropriate student housing, assisting with registration and overseeing the students’ well-being. She is a native of Thailand, fluent in Thai and English. Gessanee and her staff will meet you at the airport, take you to your housing and provide an on-site orientation.
