Arts, Literature and International Business Studies

Why Study in London?

The summer London program is ideal for students who are interested in living and studying in one of the most exciting cities in Europe. You may choose from courses in theatre, art, literature, history and international business and enhance your studies with field trips to museums, theatre performances and sites of historical and cultural interest. A guided tour of London and a tour of the beachfront town of Brighton are included in the program fees. There is also an optional tour to Edinburgh.

The summer London program offers one 5-week session; however, the academic courses are only a part of the intended value of a summer abroad. Participation in formal and informal activities also forms an integral part of the program.

The London program has a Resident Director who is responsible for the overall operations of the program: securing appropriate student housing, hiring outstanding faculty, organizing exciting field trips and overseeing your general well-being.

Ellie Yannas is the Resident Director for the London summer program. Ellie received her M.A. in Advanced Theatre Practice and Physical Theatre from the Central School of Speech & Drama and the Ecole Philippe Gaulier. She teaches Drama at London Metropolitan University and has been teaching the Theatre in London course for the USAC London summer program since 2005. Ellie will meet the group flight at the airport and provide an on-site orientation as well as additional support and resources while you are on the program.
