Why Study in Stirling?
The Stirling program offers the opportunity to enroll in a wide range of courses in a variety of disciplines at the University of Stirling, one of the top-rated academic institutions in Scotland. You may stay for one semester or a full year and choose from courses in Aquatic Science, Biology, Business and Marketing, Criminology, Economics, English Studies, Environmental Science, Film and Media, History, Journalism, Political Science, Psychology, Tourism, Scottish Studies, Sociology and Sports Studies. An exciting mix of old and new, the city of Stirling has a growing reputation as one of the most attractive places to live in the United Kingdom. It has emerged as a leading cultural and business center, with ongoing regeneration in both industry and the arts.
At Stirling, assessment is continuous throughout the semester, providing you with an early indication of academic performance. This is an advantage since most universities in the United Kingdom only grade based on one exam at the end of the semester.
The Stirling program is administered in the U.S. by the USAC Central Office and in Stirling, Scotland, by a Program Coordinator who is responsible for the overall operations of the program abroad. Jo Hagerty is the Program Coordinator for the Stirling program. Jo and her staff will arrange your housing, assist you with class registration and provide an on-site orientation.
