Why Study in Hiroshima?
The Hiroshima program offers the opportunity to study five levels of Japanese language, from beginning to advanced, and a broad range of other courses taught in English in the Departments of Science and Information Technology; Biotechnology; Business Law and Economics; and Culture, Education and Society. Students whose Japanese is at an advanced level can take courses taught in Japanese in various subjects together with other Japanese students. You may go for the fall semester or an entire year; however, students may not go for the spring semester only. Japan is a fascinating country rich in culture, history and a diverse environment, the combination of which produces one of the most distinctive societies in the world.
The Hiroshima University Studies Abroad (HUSA) Program has partnerships with universities all over the world, of which USAC is one. Hiroshima University offers the academic program for the HUSA students, including the Japanese language courses. Local staff arrange dormitory housing so that students may stay in Hiroshima economically. In order to enrich your studies, the HUSA Program staff also arranges visits to local town festivals, historical sites and short homestay programs.
The HUSA program staff will provide an on-site orientation and academic and practical assistance to oversee your general well-being while you are on the program.
