Why Study in Palmerston North, Auckland or Wellington?
This program offers the opportunity to enroll in a wide range of Massey University courses across the five colleges: Business, Education, Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Creative Arts including an extensive program in Maori Visual and Performing Arts. Massey University operates three campuses located in three different cities within the North Island of New Zealand. Each campus offers a unique environment in which to study and immerse yourself in the local culture.
Courses popular with international students include New Zealand: Fauna & Flora, Environmental Issues, Plate Tectonics and Geology, Mid-Twentieth Century Aotearoa Literature, Maori Language, Defense Studies and Economy. The university’s strengths also include Aviation, Animal Science, Biotechnology, Communication, Design, Environmental and Ecological Studies, Finance, Forestry, Food Technology, Genetics, Human Nutrition, Psychology, Performance Jazz, Sociology and Sports Studies.
The Palmerston North program is administered in the U.S. by USAC and at Massey University by a New Zealand native, Melissa Fuller, the Study Abroad and Exchange Coordinator for all Massey University campuses. There is also International Students’ Support staff on each campus to help with any questions you may have regarding the campus and enrollment processes. Staff will also assist with accommodation arrangements, airport pick-up and will provide on-going support including an International Student Orientation program that is held at the beginning of each semester and frequent social functions during the year. Some of the social events from previous semesters include pizza night, festival of cultures, cultural performance, Maori art workshop and a trip to the Wairarapa region.
