Economics, Tourism and Political Studies
The Program
The Bangkok program offers courses that introduce you to the politics, economics, philosophy, religion and language of Thailand, as well as to those of other Southeast Asian countries. In addition to these specialized areas, you can take general courses that can be used to fulfill degree requirements at your home university. The International College of Rangsit University administers the program of study for USAC students.
In this program you will choose among the courses offered by the International College. These courses are all taught in English. The program integrates these disciplines in order to respond to the ever-changing issues and events surrounding Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Students may choose to study for a summer, semester, two semesters or a year, which includes the summer program.
The Bangkok program is administered in the U.S. by USAC and in Bangkok, Thailand by the Rangsit University International College Coordinator who is responsible for the overall operations of the program abroad: securing appropriate student housing, assisting with registration and overseeing the students’ well-being.
Dr. Gessanee S. Maneerutt, a native of Thailand, is the Rangsit University College Program Coordinator for the Bangkok program. Fluent in Thai and English, Gessanee will meet you at the airport, take you to your housing and provide an on-site orientation.
