The Program
The Hague program offers students the opportunity to enroll in a variety of disciplines at The Hague University’s School of European Studies (HEBO). You will find The Hague is a crossroad of cultures with well over thirty nationalities represented, making your study abroad experience truly diverse. Courses available to students are taught in English and are in the
areas of Language, Communication Management, Business Management, Culture and Society, and Law and Politics. Students are required to take a Dutch culture course for the first six weeks of the semester. The Introduction to Dutch Society course includes organized field trips to locations such as Delft, famous worldwide for its blue and white pottery, or the Kröller-Müller Museum, known for its expansive collection of Van Gogh paintings.
The academic year runs from September to July and is divided into two fourteen-week long semesters. Students may choose one semester or the yearlong program.
The Hague program is administered in the U.S. by USAC and in the Netherlands by The Hague University’s Program Coordinator, Rajash Rawal. Raj will help you with any questions you may have regarding academic matters and help you settle in, while the International Office staff will provide you with an on-site orientation, arrange your housing, assist with class registration and oversee your well-being. They are there to make your stay as enjoyable and as comfortable as they can.
