The Program
The summer Accra program offers one six-week session. It is ideal for students who wish to combine a formal academic perspective of Ghanaian culture with field trips and tours that provide an unsurpassed opportunity to visit Ghana’s most important historical landmarks and rich cultural environment.
The Accra program has a Resident Director who is responsible for the overall operations of the program abroad: securing appropriate student housing, hiring outstanding faculty, organizing exciting field trips and optional tours, and overseeing the students’ well-being.
Abigail Thompson, a Ghana native, is the Resident Director for the Accra program and holds a Masters degree from the University of Twente, Enchede The Netherlands. Fluent in Twi, Fanti, Gia and English, Abigail will meet the group flight at the airport and provide an on-site orientation.
