USAC Mission and Goals

The mission of USAC is to provide students with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, experiences and attitudes to prepare them for the global society of the 21st century. We believe study abroad is the most effective way to accomplish these goals.

The University Studies Abroad Consortium, affectionately known as USAC, is a consortium of 33 US universities and has been providing quality study abroad programs for over 25 years. USAC currently offers programs in 25 countries at 40 programs sites with a 93% recommendation rate. Central Office and consortium staff work closely with the on-site Resident Directors and Program Coordinators to ensure that students receive personalized care and attention. With annual enrollment of about 2,500, USAC students represent more that 700 US and foreign universities and 22 countries.
