“While in Oslo, I was able to consult with the study abroad office when I needed help. They were able to discuss banking, how to find things on campus, and how to sign up for classes. Every time I went in to ask questions, they were very polite and able to answer my questions. Additionally, they organized activities for orientation and throughout the year to give international students an opportunity to meet up.”

Studying abroad can be a more meaningful and invigorating learning experience than at home—both inside and outside of the classroom. You may be more curious and alert than you usually are so use this heightened energy to enhance your studies as well as your cultural and geographical explorations. You may also encounter different teaching styles and course processes; be prepared to adapt and to learn.
USAC's partnership with the University of Oslo provides you with a wide array of academic options at the undergraduate and graduate level. You will take regular university classes taught in English alongside your Norwegian peers. Courses are subject to availability and approval of prerequisites which are determined by the University of Oslo. Students are highly recommended to take an introductory Norwegian language course as a means to better understand the host country and culture.
