All students are required to take an Introduction to Dutch Culture and Society course, which includes organized field trips to locations such as Delft, famous worldwide for its blue and white pottery, or the Kröller-Müller Museum, known for its expansive collection of Van Gogh paintings. You may choose to participate in a single fall or spring semester or the full academic year.

Known worldwide as the “International City of Peace and Justice,” The Hague plays a prominent role in local, regional, and global affairs – serving as the seat of the Dutch parliament, home to the royal family’s residential palace, and the site of the United Nation’s International Court of Justice and International Criminal Court. The city is also just 40 miles from Amsterdam and within easy reach of nearby sandy beaches and coastlines.

There are several excellent reasons for deciding to study in the Netherlands. Courses at European universities are taught by professors who do almost all the teaching and seminar work with undergraduates while maintaining a high level of research activity.
