Dr. Alyssa Nota, a US native, is the Director overseeing the four USAC Italy programs and Resident Director of the USAC Torino program. Alyssa is a 17-year veteran of USAC and holds degrees in Italian, English, and Curriculum and Instruction, including a Ph.D. from Boston College.

The Reggio Emilia program has a Resident Director who is responsible for the USAC office abroad and overall operations of the program: hiring outstanding faculty, organizing field trips and optional tours, and overseeing your general well-being. The Reggio Emilia Resident Director is Simona Lai. Simona Lai holds an undergraduate degree in Foreign Languages for Linguistic and Cultural Mediation, a Master’s in Foreign Languages for International Communications, an advanced graduate certification in foreign language teaching, and speaks Italian, English, and German.

The RD is assisted by Carlotta Bosi, an experienced, multilingual program staff member who helps manage on-site program activities and provides valuable assistance and resources.
