Activities for Cork, Ireland

As a USAC student, you will be a member of the Student Union, which provides a comprehensive range of services, events, and student activities. The International Student Society organizes a number of social and cultural events and tours throughout the academic year. Over 130 clubs and societies are also available focusing on interests that vary from canoeing to mountaineering, horse racing to motorcycling, dramatic pursuits to Earthwatch. There is also the Chaplaincy, a service that offers friendship and support to all within the university community. It is a place of welcome for all, where students can meet in the warm, welcoming environment of the Tea Room/Lounge, or take time out for quiet reflection and prayer. This on-campus group has no specific religious affiliation and also works with local charities to volunteer; it hosts coffee chats and lots of events and get-togethers. Many students use it as a drop-in center for coffee; and their bus trips are quite affordable and really good! A wide range of sporting activities are also available to students, such as hockey, rugby, softball, squash, rowing, swimming, and volleyball.
