Tours and Field Studies for Pau, France

USAC strongly encourages everyone to participate in these tours. However, they are optional and have an additional fee. Offerings vary from semester to semester and summer sessions; common destinations follow below. Check the calendar and for your specific term to determine what is being offered. USAC staff accompany the group on the tour.

Paris/Loire Valley Tour/Field Study

Your stay in Paris will be a busy one and will include visits to great Parisian landmarks such as Notre-Dame of Paris, the Eiffel Tower, the Opera House, and much more. While in Paris, students are housed in a centrally located hotel. Bring your walking shoes!

The tour includes four nights in Paris, transportation by charter bus, and during the fall semester an overnight stop in the beautiful Loire Valley with visits to one of the world famous Renaissance Loire castles.

Normandy Tour

You will travel by charter bus from Pau, up through Normandy, visiting the breathtaking Mont St. Michel; sites of historical importance including WWII beaches, Rouen, and Caen; and the lovely gardens of the famous impressionist artist, Claude Monet, at Giverny. The tour will conclude in Paris, allowing you to easily to catch your flight home or travel onwards.
