August 26, 2017 Departure from the US on optional group flight (if on the optional tour/field study)
August 27 Arrival in Marseille required by 4 pm (if on the optional tour/field study)
August 27 - 31 Optional Marseille and the Mediterranean Sea Tour/Field Study
September 1 Arrival in Lyon required by 3 pm (all students)
Move into housing (all students)
September 2 Mandatory USAC orientation part 1
Guided tour of Lyon and surrounding area
September 4 Mandatory orientation part 2
September 5 - 7 Mandatory French language placement exams
September 10 Field trip—Annecy
September 11 Elective courses begin
September 15 Mandatory meeting with French professors
September 18 French language courses begin
October 14 Field trip—Bourgogne
October 30 - November 5 Fall break
December 18 - 22 Final examinations
Program end date corresponds with last final exam
December 23 Move out of housing
Open return Students establish their own date of return

USAC reserves the right to make adjustments to fees or deadlines at any time. If a program fills earlier than anticipated, USAC may move up the position hold payment deadline date to secure students’ placement in the program.
