Transfer Credit/Enrollment

During a student's participation on a Specialty program, students of one of the USAC Member Universities remain enrolled at that university. If a student is not currently a student of a Member university, the USAC Central Office will assist your student in enrolling in order to earn credits. At the end of the program, an official transcript is automatically sent to the student's USAC member school and upon request sent to USAC non-member schools. Either way, it is a simple process. Please know that Specialty programs are wholly designed and operated by USAC. Each Specialty program has a Resident Director (most of whom have a Ph.D.) who hires excellent faculty (in many cases from the host university), arranges housing for the students, organizes field studies and excursions, and assures the general well-being of your students overseas.

These programs include the following countries:

Students participating on Partnership programs receive a transcript directly from the respective partnership university and, in many cases, can stay enrolled at their home university during their time abroad. Students can then use the transcript from this recognized foreign university to transfer the credits to their home campus. Upon request and whenever possible, USAC will provide course descriptions or syllabi if your school requires this information to accept the credits from these partnership universities.

These programs include the following countries:

If you need more information or your university requires a different arrangement than those listed above, please contact the USAC Central Office, who will be happy to work with you and your university.”
